The results of the auction on sale of numismatic values conducted by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic
On April 20, 2023, in honor of the 30th anniversary of introduction of the national currency - Som, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted the auction on sale of numismatic products issued by the National Bank during 30 years of the national currency development.
The auction was conducted to meet the demand of the numismatists for rare collection coins of the National Bank. In this regard, the collection gold, silver, copper-nickel coins not offered for sale by the National Bank in the total amount of 80 units issued to commemorate various historical events, architectural and cultural monuments, to promote the national sports, rites and customs, endangered species of fauna and flora of Kyrgyzstan, as well as other numismatic values in the form of commemorative banknotes, circulation coins, collection coins of the face value 1 (one) tiyn were presented in 30 lots.
There were 25 participants registered for participation in the auction. The total starting price of the auction lots amounted to KGS 857,700.00 (eight hundred and fifty seven thousand seven hundred). All numismatic values presented at the auction in 30 lots were sold. As a result, the total amount of numismatic values sold at the auction was KGS 1,139,050.00 (one million one hundred and thirty nine thousand and fifty).
The highest price was offered for the gold coin “1000-year anniversary of “Manas” epos”, the auction price was KGS 180,500.00 (one hundred and eighty thousand five hundred) with the starting price of KGS 94,000, the highest price was offered for the silver coins of the 8th lot “Arkhar” and “Tashrabat” of the series “International year of mountains” – KGS 42,100.00 (forty two thousand) with the starting price of KGS 16,600.
The results of the auction held by the National Bank show increased interest of the numismatists and non-professionals who just like exclusive collection coins of Kyrgyzstan.
