The 5000 Som banknote of 2023 year is produced on white paper of 156x73 mm. The main color of the banknote is green. The paper has a local multi-tonal watermark that repeats the portrait depicted on the front side of banknote combined with numbers. The paper also equipped with micro-optic security thread that contains figures of denomination “5000” and the diamond-shaped logo of the National Bank.
The portrait, the inscriptions (“KЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ”, “БЕШ МИҢ СОМ”, “5000”, “ТӨРАГА”), the signature of the National Bank’s Chairman and special marks intended for the visually impaired people on the front side of the banknote are printed with raised ink.
The distinctive features of 5000 Som banknote of 2023 year
On the front side of banknote, there is a portrait of Kyrgyz actor and artist Suymonkul Chokmorov, and the inscription “СҮЙМӨНКУЛ ЧОКМОРОВ 1939-1992”. Under the portrait there is an inscription “БЕШ МИҢ СОМ”. On the left side of the portrait there is an ornament made with color-shifting ink; the pattern which includes three-dimensional concentric rings, shifts from gold to jade when the banknote is tilted. Figures of denomination “5000” are located in the upper left and lower right corners of the banknote. In the upper right part of the banknote there are inscriptions “KЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ” and “ТӨРАГА”, as well as the signature of the National Bank`s Chairman. A rhombus depicted in the lower right part of the banknote, tilt the note to see a rainbow image of the graphic symbol of Som – C. The fragments of pattern depicted above the rhombus complete a pattern of diamond when banknote is held up to the light.
On the reverse of the banknote, there is an image of "Ala-Too" building, being one of the oldest movie theatre of the capital, is historical and architectural sight place. The upper left corner of the banknote contains figures of denomination “5000”, and inscription “KЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ”. The left side of the banknote displays fragments of pattern completed the pattern of diamond against the light, and the year of issue “2023” is specified. In the center of the banknote there is a translucent glitter stripe contains figures of denomination “5000” and the diamond-shaped logo of the National Bank. In the lower right corner, there are figures of denomination “5000” and inscription “БЕШ МИҢ СОМ”. The serial numbers of the banknote are located in the upper right and lower corners of the banknote.
The distinctive features of the 5000-Som banknote of 2016 year
On the front side of the note the portrait of outstanding Kyrgyz actor and artist Suymonkul Chokmorov, made by classic engraved method. There is a relief image of the national pattern on the right side of the portrait. Hold the note up to the light the word "сом" appears.
On the back side of the note there is the glossy stripe represents as repeating figures "5000" and the inscription "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ" on the right side of the banknote. The year of issue "2016" indicated on the bottom of the banknote.
The distinctive features of the 5000-Som banknote of 2009 year
The 5000 Som banknote of 2009 year is produced on white paper of 156x73 mm. The main color of the banknote is green. Colorless fibers luminescent in UV light are embedded in the paper. The paper has a local multi-tonal watermark that repeats the portrait depicted on the front side of banknote combined with numbers. Windowed security thread that denomination "5000 COM" is embedded in the paper. The security thread changes color from red to green when the banknote is tilted. On the edges of the banknote there are white coupon fields. Portrait, inscriptions “KЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ”, “БЕШ МИҢ СОМ”, “5000”, “ТӨРАГА”, on the front side of the banknote are printed with raised ink.
The banknote of 5000 Som denomination has original design and improved security features of last generation.
On the front side at the top of the banknote, there is inscription “KЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ”, the signature of the Chairman (ТӨРАГА) of the NBKR, the serial number of the banknote, made in red ink. SPARK is three-dimensional figures situated to left of portrait. If the banknote is tilted left and right the figures will change color from deep-green to light-green. If the banknote is tilted back and forth the figures will change color from green to blue. See-Through Register - patterns on the front and back of the note combines to form the inscription "COM" when the note is hold up to the light.
In the left part of the banknote there is a portrait of Kyrgyz actor and artist Suymonkul Chokmorov, and the inscription “СҮЙМӨНКУЛ ЧОКМОРОВ 1939-1992”. The portrait is made with many times repeating inscription in microletters "Сүймөнкул Чокморов" is visible with magnifying glass. In the lines to the right of the portrait, the repeated inscription " Кыргыз Банкы " is visible with magnifying glass. Under the portrait there is inscription "БЕШ МИҢ СОМ". To the right of the security thread - a relief image of kyrgyz national pattern is stood out against a background in form of yellow circle. In the upper left and lower right corners, there are figures of denomination “5000”. There is a green rectangle containing the relief image of the national ornament at the lower right part. The figures "5000" appears in rectangle covered with ornament while the banknote is tilted. In the lower right corner there is a serial number in black ink.
On the reverse side at the top of the banknote, there is inscription "KЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ" and the figures of denomination “5000”.
