ь National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic informs that on November 1, 2010, the Monetary Regulation Committee of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic accepted the decision on maintenance of the base rate for crediting of the LLC “Specialized Fund for Banks Refinancing” at the rate of 7.0 percent. The decision came into effect from November 1, 2010.  

ь National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic informs that in accordance with articles 4, 15, 16 and 18 of the Kyrgyz Republic Law “On National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” and resolution No. 81/1 of the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic “On issuance of the banknotes of the 4th series with the nominal value of 200, 500 and 1000 soms”, dated October 27, 2010, the banknotes of the 4th series with the nominal value of 200, 500 and 1000 soms will be introduced into circulation from December 1, 2010 in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. 

The banknotes of the 4th series have original design with maintenance of the same portraits of historical persons as well as improved protective elements and the following technical characteristics. 

The banknotes of the 4th series with the nominal value of 200, 500 and 1000 soms will circulate alongside with the banknotes of 1, 10, 50 tiyin, 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 and 5000 soms as well as circulation coins of 10, 50 tiyin and 1, 3, 5 and 10 soms.  

All banknotes and coins of the national currency irrespective of the issuance year have the status of official payment instrument in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and are subject to obligatory acceptance as payment instrument.
