Coins devoted to the epic of «Manas»
The main plot of the obverse side of the “Aikol Manas” coin is the image of the hero Manas, dressed in armour, riding on his war horse “Akkula” against the background of snow-white mountains “Ala-Too”. The inscription: “Айкөл Манас / Aikol Manas” is in the upper part of the coin. The right part of the coin displays the metal alloy (Au 999) and the weight of the coin (15.55 g). The denomination of the coin (200) and the graphical sign of som (C) are showen in the lower part of the coin.
The reverse side of the coin contains the coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic framed by stylised images of the national ornaments symbolising Kyrgyz warriors. The inscription: “Кыргыз Республикасынын Улуттук банкы / National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” is placed around the coin circumference. The year coin issue “2024” is specified in the lower part of the coin.
In commemoration of the millenary of the epic "Manas", the National Bank issued collection gold and silver coins "Manas" on August 11, 1995.
The collection coins "Manas" are the first coins in the history of the independent Kyrgyz Republic. The coins are minted from gold and silver extracted in independent Kyrgyzstan, and have the international quality "proof".
On the obverse of the coins the image of armed, riding a horse, Manas against the relief number of 1000 is located. The composite decision reflects the image of Manas carried in the memory of the Kyrgyz people through many centuries as the symbol of unification and fortitude. The inscription "Aikol Manas" in the top part of the coin testifies to its meaning of "Manas Magnanimous".
On the reverse of the coins there are an emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic and the year of issue of the coin framed by the national ornament. In the center of the emblem the image of a white falcon with outspread wings, symbolizing freedom and independence of Kyrghyzstan, is painted against the lake and the shoots of Ala-Тоо with the rising sun.
