Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the IMF briefing
From January 27 to 30, 2025, the Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Melis Turgunbaev participated in the high-level briefing organized by the IMF.
The briefing was devoted to the discussion of key aspects of monetary and exchange rate policies, issues of regulation of the financial market and payment systems, strengthening the institutional framework and protective mechanisms of the central bank, as well as the main areas of technical cooperation between the National Bank and the IMF.
Within the framework of the briefing, the Chairman of the National Bank, Turgunbaev M., had an official meeting with the Managing Director of the IMF, Mrs. Georgieva K. During the meeting the parties discussed the latest trends and challenges in the world economy, the prospects of development of the monetary policy of the National Bank and further directions of joint cooperation.
