Cooperation with the World Bank Group  

 

The World Bank Group is an international financial institution that conducts its activities in all key areas of development. The main objective of the World Bank (hereinafter - WB) activities, according to the World Bank Group-Kyrgyz Republic Partnership Framework for 2019-2022, is to promote diversified, export-oriented, inclusive and stable growth, which should be driven by the private sector. 

Currently, the National Bank, together with the World Bank, is implementing a technical assistance project to develop the financial sector in the Kyrgyz Republic, which was initiated on January 1, 2018 and will be completed on December 31, 2021. 

The objectives of this project are: (1) increasing the stability of the financial sector by strengthening the regulatory framework to supervise the financial and credit organizations (2) increasing the availability of financial services.  

During the period from March 23 until April 30, 2021, the World Bank professional team conducted a technical assistance mission in the virtual format as part of the technical assistance for a financial sector development project funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
