In the course of the lecturers’ speech and upon completion of the event, the upper-form pupils asked a lot of questions related to deposits, types of credits and payment cards.
The teacher of 10th form Meerim emphasized that she found for herself a lot of useful information. "Knowledge gained today I cannot use in practice yet, but in my adult life they are sure to be useful for me. Nowadays, young generation of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan shall be provided with the skills of effective personal money handling, loans registration and receipt, funds accumulation and their investment. Each of us shall try to develop and multiply knowledge received nowadays. I think that person’s wellbeing depends on his/her financial literacy", - she said.
However, the pupil of 11th form, Bakyt, thinks that all people in the XXI century shall know the basics of economics and finances. "This is the requirement of our time. Financial literacy is necessary for people of any age", - he emphasized.
"I have always thought that economics is very difficult and I would not like to choose a profession in this sphere in future. Now, I understand than everyone should be aware of financial issues or as people used to say that this is on trend. There are different situations in our life, and it turned out to be very important to gain basic knowledge in this sphere", - the upper-former Adilet shared his opinion.
According to the deputy principal on studies of secondary school №12, Liubov Oleinikova, nowadays, children should gain knowledge in the sphere of economics as never before. "They should be aware of the services rendered by the financial institutions, strictly distribute their personal money, and, of course, become successful citizens. Today event was very useful for children. Such lectures should be carried out more often", - she finalized.
Within the framework of information campaign on improvement of financial literacy of the population, the specialists of the National Bank will continue conducting on-site lectures in the schools, vocational schools and higher educational institutions of the republic.
