On May 15, 2025, the Jalal-Abad Regional Department of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of journalists of Jalal-Abad TV and Radio Company held a lecture for the first year students of the Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov of Jalal-Abad city, timed to the day of introduction of the national currency of the Kyrgyz Republic - som.
During the lecture, the representatives of the National Bank spoke about the history of the national currency - som, the stages of its development and security elements, as well as about the numismatic values of the National Bank.
The numismatic exhibition of collectible coins issued by the National Bank was organized for the participants of the lecture. Also the representatives of the National Bank gave an interview to the journalists of Jalal-Abad TV and Radio Company about the held event.
