On May 14, 2025, within the frames of the program to improve financial literacy of the population, the employees of the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held guest lectures for high school students of the secondary school named after Zuurakan Batyrbaeva in the village of Ichke-Suu of Issyk-Kul oblast.
During the lecture, the information on the history of formation of the national currency - Kyrgyz som, national QR standards and rules of making payments using two-dimensional barcode symbols (QR code), as well as on financial fraud, was presented.
In addition, the exhibition of numismatic values of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic was organized on May 13-14.
